To ensure above- the- board process for selection of competent personnel for managing responsible positions of Civil Service spread over the length and breadth of the Province;
To strictly and scrupulously follow the rules and regulations stipulated by the Provincial legislature and Government for recruiting all cadres of Provincial Civil Service;
To be always cognizant of the need to maintain transparency, fairness, impartiality, meritocracy, and integrity in the recruitment process along with ensuring required discretion and scrupulousness;
To render balanced and prudent advice to the Provincial Government in matters of recruitment policies whenever solicited;
To devise methodologies best suited to judge the abilities of the prospective candidates desirous of joining the ranks of the Provincial Civil Service;
To ensure the provision of equal opportunity to all contestants competing for the Provincial Civil Service;
To periodically review the procedural matters related to recruitment matters and bring them before the Provincial Government for consideration so that the SPSC keeps abreast with the latest developments in recruitment practices;
To ensure the provision of better physical facilities to the candidates appearing for taking Competitive Examinations.
